Patna Marathon 2012

Until now you must be aware that I am volunteering Patna marathon 2012. A marathon of International standard, in Patna for the first time and being organised by a team working from round the globe. Yes, a team working from ground zero-Patna, New Jersey, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Dubai, Czech Republic, Tokyo, Mauritius, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and many other Cities.

Uniqueness about this event is that it is completely based on wiki model. We in a team have to understand others objectives, requirements, and interests so that we can work smoothly in collaborative environment. Above everything, all the team members have a common thing in their mind- a belief , a goal, a dream to make this event a huge success.

For past few weeks there has been major progress on ground.

CEO of the Marathon team is already on 3 month sabbatical. He himself has been meeting interesting people, and promoted Patna Marathon at IIM-A Golden Jubilee, Class Reunion, Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas at Jaipur. Today, along with him the team organized short run at Patna.

Last week team had meeting with the Dy. CM of Bihar on rescheduling of the event for a week. Finally, event got shifted by a week upon request of Government.  http://patnamarathon.com/rescheduled-date-of-patna-marathon-26-february-2012.html

Well we are using internet as a major tool like, Google apps for collaboration, WordPress for Content Management System website, Google SMS Channel, Facebook and twitter for social collaboration, Dropbox for file sharing, Skype and TeamBox for net-meeting and Project Management.
